Founded in 2023, Humanity Effect now supports two schools, an orphanage, and a medical center in Makoko, a floating community in Lagos, Nigeria.
The goal is simple: every child in Makoko deserves a safe place to learn, grow, and dream.

Daily support
Humanity Effect provides uniforms, shoes, books, meals, and salaries for teaching staff, while sourcing materials and labor from within Makoko whenever possible.
That means each gift can support a child's day and help keep more resources circulating inside the community.
Less than half of children in Makoko are able to attend school. Humanity Effect is expanding access through education, care, and community-rooted support.
